Kasper Sonne (DK)
Forever until the end

Contradictions in terms seem to be Kasper Sonne’s way of making us stop and reflect. On a roof-top we see the words Forever until the end either lit up or in silhouette, depending on what time of day we tilt our heads back and look up. The work is the title, and the title is the work. Even if the words in themselves are easy to understand, this is about something as incomprehensible as eternity, and the end of it. The work doesn’t take position, but still it is impossible to say it isn’t a statement. The work offers a particular reading experience, both because of its position but also because of its hazy precision.

About Kasper Sonne
Kasper Sonne often writes to his audience, and his preoccupation with words and their meaning is ever present. He does not only work inside the gallery, but use the many and diverse public sites offered to him on his way, be it his own house roof, an advertising billboard or an office wall.

Kasper was born 1974 in Albertslund, Denmark and lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. He graduated from The Danish School of Design in 2000 and has since exhibited widely. Lately in Museo de San Carlos, Mexico City, Mexico and at Karriere, Copenhagen, Denmark. His work can be seen next at Moti Hasson Gallery in June and at LaViolaBank Gallery in September this year, both in New York City, USA.
